Electric Vehicle Wiring Specialist

We are seeking an Assembly Technician for our wiring department to join our team and be an essential part of our manufacturing team. This person will Install wiring and electrical components to garbage truck assembly. The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
Your Role in Our Mission:
- Prepare wire looms, mount lights and switches, and wire finished product in an efficient manner to maximize production.
- Maintain accuracy of product by following specifications, work orders, and known practices.
- Inspect and test own work for function and appearance.
- Maintain a level of inventory that will minimize production delays and order needed components through Purchasing.
- Understand and work with electrical wiring, specifically 12 Volt DC.
- Operate forklift to move around garbage truck assemblies.
- Set garbage truck assembly on chassis using a crane.
- Good communication skills.
- Math skills and a good understanding of fractions.
- Read and understand schematics and technical documents.
- Clean and maintain an orderly work area.
- Add reflectors to cover sheets.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operation to the Safety Department and Maintenance Department.
- 1 year preferred with 12 Volt DC, forklift operation, and manual/power tools.
