Prosperity Bank is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Banking Professional to join our team. As a Commercial Banker, you will be responsible for growing and retaining profitable relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Solicit commercial clients and aggressively seek new business opportunities through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross-selling efforts.
- Obtain and maintain client relationships and attend networking events in the assigned geographic area.
- Require skills and experience in loan structuring and credit analysis.
- Generate a wide variety of commercial and real estate loans.
- Closing loans typically in the $1 million to $10 million range.
- Contribute to deposit growth by cross-selling and promoting additional banking products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in banking, finance, or other related field is preferred.
- Formally credit trained and/or underwriting knowledge and experience is preferred.
- Typically a minimum of seven years direct lending or credit support related experience with focus on business relationships.
- Familiarity of the sales, loan processing, and closing processes.
- Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services, including working knowledge of C&I as well as Owner-Occupied and Investment Commercial Real Estate loans.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to expand loans, client relationships, and cross-sell bank products.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and a proven track record of business development.
Work Environment
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week.
