Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Perform Cybersecurity risk assessments on deployed Navy systems, system functions, and interconnection.
  • Analyze and develop mitigation plans, corrective actions, and contingencies for risks identified during Cyber Risk Assessments and Penetration Testing.
  • Track operational changes to the DoD and DON cybersecurity initiatives and provide implementation guidance and identify policies affecting cost, schedule, and performance criteria to support Navy cybersecurity goals.
  • Evaluate cybersecurity requirements implementation across the acquisition lifecycle to make recommendations on cybersecurity risks and mitigations.
  • Develop cybersecurity metrics to include data collection, monitoring, analysis, and reporting and evaluate independent cybersecurity technical assessments for cyber risk, software assurance, penetration testing, and other related cybersecurity testing.
  • Evaluate cybersecurity technical assessments and develop technical and process efficiencies throughout all Risk Management Framework (RMF) steps and develop implementation guidance for RMF execution for efforts throughout system development.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • 6 years' experience in Government-related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs.
  • At least 4 years' experience in any of the following:
    • Comparative multi-domain HSI engineering analysis, impact assessments, trade-off studies of complex systems.
    • Design, installation, integration, and test support either in a laboratory or direct applications.
    • Design documentation/specification development.
    • Test planning and test procedures development, test conduct, analysis, and reporting.
    • Applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate systems.
    • Applying engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition, training, and resource management.
    • Conducting Task Analyses (e.g., Mission Task Analysis, Top-Down Functional Analysis, Critical Task Analysis).
    • Understand Naval operations from unit level through operational staff and headquarters planning.
  • ABET Accredited BS Degree from ABET recognized engineering curriculum or BS Degree in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that includes 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools, such as Cameo or MagicDraw.
  • Experience with SW factories, SW development tools, and SW test pipelines.
  • Familiarity and experience working with Navy radars, electro-optical and infrared sensors, guns, missiles, electronic warfare, and other warfare systems.
Travel Requirements:

25% to various Naval activity centers, including San Diego, CA; Washington, DC; Norfolk, VA; Charleston, SC; Denver, CO; and Hawaii.
