Job Summary

The Pharmacy Business Insights Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic utilization of data insights to enhance growth and optimize performance in the pharmacy department at Orlando Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Refine Reports: Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to develop, enhance, and refine standard and ad-hoc pharmacy reports; identifies and analyzes trends to inform decision-making.
  • Industry Trend Research: Supports pharmacy leadership in researching and understanding industry trends to develop sustainable models for pharmacy care delivery.
  • Custom Dashboards and Reports: Develops custom dashboards and reports utilizing advanced technologies and data visualization tools including, but not limited to, Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Access.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provides leadership, guidance, and support for pharmacy analysts.
  • Skill Development: Fosters skill development among team members in utilizing business intelligence tools.
  • Data Management: Develops guidelines and protocols to standardize how data dictionaries, tables, and data entry processes are managed within Pharmacy and aligning with the organization; aiming to ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in data-related operations.
  • Data Validation: Conducts data validation and integrity checks to maintain data quality.
  • User Support: Assists users in ensuring their expectations are met during reviews of data (dashboards).
  • Training and Development: Provides training as needed to users and stakeholders.
  • Liaison and Collaboration: Maintains ongoing liaison with Ambulatory & Post Acute Services, IT, and the Enterprise Analytics team at Orlando Health to identify opportunities to improve data management and analytics.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Collaborates with vendors to address organizational analytics needs, request product enhancements, and facilitate user training.
  • Attendance and Compliance: Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Professional Growth: Pursues professional growth and development through participation in seminars, workshops, and educational programs.
  • Communication and Leadership: Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrates success leading projects and initiatives to improve efficiency, performance, and return on investment.
Qualifications
  • Education/Training: Bachelors degree required.
  • Technical Skills: Power BI expertise required; database user interface, query, and reporting software (Structured query language SQL) experience required; comprehensive knowledge of SQL Server and related platforms and software required.
  • Experience: At least five (5) years of strong data management and data analysis experience with one to two (1 to 2) years supervising or leading other people required; healthcare and pharmacy experience preferred.
