Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in our interdisciplinary healthcare team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in ongoing patient assessment and care planning
  • Providing services as directed by the treating physical therapist and in accordance with the plan of care
  • Documenting patient progress and response to treatment
  • Counseling and educating patients and their families on healthcare-related needs
  • Communicating effectively with the healthcare team to promote coordination of patient care and planning for discharge
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a physical therapist assistant in the state of Michigan
  • At least two years of experience as a physical therapist assistant in the last five years
  • Active CPR certification
  • Previous home health experience is a plus
