The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of planning, quoting, and fulfillment of shop and on-site service work at a customer-owned facility. This role requires coordination with the inside and outside sales team, Operations Supervisor, and technician team to ensure safe, timely, and profitable execution of services.
The ideal candidate will be an expert in all repair services provided by the company and able to communicate effectively with customers daily. Strong problem-solving skills, effective time-management, and detail-oriented approach are essential for success in this role.
This position requires a high level of organization, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure without supervision.
The Production Manager will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting customer survey information to drive continuous improvement in the department. Additionally, they will oversee the corresponding service offerings at all branches dealing with targeted corporate accounts.
This role requires a strong understanding of industry codes and standards, as well as the ability to communicate technical information to customers. The ideal candidate will be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance with company driving guidelines.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and interpret customer survey information to drive continuous improvement in the department.
2. Oversee the corresponding service offerings at all branches dealing with targeted corporate accounts.
3. Ensure safe planning and accomplishment of both shop and on-site service work.
4. Manage time and material resources to execute both shop and on-site service profitably and in accordance with the contracted scope of work.
5. Assist or lead the quotation/bidding of both shop and on-site service work.
6. Schedule resources by coordination with the inside and outside sales team, Operations Supervisor, and technician teams.
7. Serve as a technical resource for all repair services provided by the company and be extremely knowledgeable of applicable industry codes and standards.
8. Drive continuous process and quality improvement in execution of service work.
9. Communicate with customers daily for resource coordination, technical support, or sales calls.
10. Assist in troubleshooting/problem solving for customer field service and shop service issues.
Positional Requirements & Qualifications:
Education & Experience
10 years minimum industry experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Safety Council training
Current TWIC card
Preferred:
Industrial valve/actuator OEM factory authorized training certificates
Preferred:
Certified Individual in accordance with the National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessels
