Job SummaryThe Fabricator will play a critical role in producing high-quality components for various construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of automated equipment and manual shop operations, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a variety of automated equipment, utilizing cut lists to produce precise components.
- Set up and operate manual shop equipment, using cut lists to create repeatable parts.
- Apply mathematical concepts to production activities, such as cutting parts to size or assembling components.
- Collect and assemble components, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Pack and load cut materials and assemblies for transport to project sites.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Set up automated and manual shop equipment for new operations.
- Develop and implement jigs and fixtures to produce repeatable parts.
- Utilize measuring and marking devices to lay out parts and pieces for fabrication.
- Read and understand shop drawings, construction drawings, and other relevant documents.
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction, manufacturing, or fabrication shop environments.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
