About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator (Union) to join our team at JE Dunn Construction Group. As a Fabricator, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality components for various construction projects, utilizing automated tools and specialized equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of automated equipment, using cut lists to produce specific-sized materials.
  • Operate manual shop equipment, using cut lists to make repeatable parts.
  • Apply basic math skills to production activities, such as cutting parts to size or assembling multiple parts together.
  • Collect and assemble components cut to specific sizes for an end product.
  • Pack and load cut materials and assemblies for transport to project sites.
  • Ensure accurate reading and understanding of tape measures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop, equipment, and common areas.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Set up automated and manual shop equipment for new operations.
  • Set up jigs and fixtures to produce repeatable parts.
  • Use measuring and marking devices to lay out parts and pieces for fabrication.
  • Read and understand shop drawings, construction drawings, and other relevant documents.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction, manufacturing, or fabrication shop environments.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to identify common construction materials and shop equipment.
