About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain aseptic surgical environments, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing support and expertise as needed.
  • Operate and maintain various types of equipment used in the operating room, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care, from preparation to recovery.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other physical demands of the role.
