Job Title: Systems Engineer, Mid

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer, Mid to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systems. This includes the coordination of system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific engineering projects
  • Develop solutions to a variety of engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Perform systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
  • Oversee moderately complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
  • Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Perform continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
  • Maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing technology

Requirements:

  • BA/BS or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
  • 5+ years of related systems engineering experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required and eligibility to obtain a CI poly

Preferred Skills:

  • Linux system administrator
  • Scripting / Coding experience (Bash, Python, etc)
