Program Overview:

This role involves supporting the NGA Enterprise Engineering (NEE) initiative, which collaborates with NGA Sensor Programs to provide insights on future acquisition strategies, assess the impact of Sensor Programs on existing architectures, and identify investment needs for necessary upgrades to support the integration of Sensor Programs with various systems architectures, subsystems, services, and components across NGA and its partners.

The program's support will also be utilized to illustrate and simulate enterprise and sub-level architectures, modeling and testing performance and innovative concepts for future Sensor Program architectures, including ground, airborne, and overhead systems. The team will conduct performance evaluations, define mission testing requirements, and recommend measures of effectiveness (MOE) for both new and existing capabilities to fulfill the needs of GEOINT and intelligence analysts. The objective is to deliver mission capabilities that align with the GEOINT requirements of the Intelligence Community (IC), National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Department of Defense (DoD) clients.

Position Responsibilities:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will lead engineering teams in adopting a multidisciplinary approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resilience, service development, integration, testing, evaluation, maintainability, and analysis. You will assist in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.

The Systems Engineer will also adhere to change and configuration management processes and tools, oversee the integration and development of COTS products, comply with established program methodologies, and coordinate effectively for problem resolution, task scheduling, resource requirements, and task clarification. Additionally, you will manage IT program activities, including scheduling meetings and preparing briefings and presentations, as well as creating and maintaining Project Management Review (PMR) slides for various projects while collaborating with an integrated team of sponsor staff and contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with COTS products
  • TS/SCI CI POLY clearance
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies (preferred)
  • Experience in GEOINT architecture
  • Subject Matter Expert level: 15+ years with a Bachelor's Degree; Senior Level: 12+ years with a Bachelor's Degree
