Physician Assistant Role

Position Summary:

The Physician Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals during surgical interventions, patient management, and various administrative responsibilities. This position also entails engaging with patients to guarantee they receive appropriate information and services from the healthcare facility.

Core Duties:

  • Facilitate patient flow within the clinic
  • Assist in multiple surgical operations
  • Conduct patient assessments following surgery or during clinical consultations
  • Be available for weekend and evening duties as necessary
  • Gather and record patient medical histories
  • Deliver patient instructions as per physician's guidance
  • Manage phone communications and process medication refill requests
  • Examine test results and aid in completing necessary documentation
  • Engage in organizational tasks as required
  • Execute any additional responsibilities assigned by the supervising physician or practice manager

Required Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with surgical and clinical office protocols
  • Competence in using computer systems and software applications
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Capability to build and maintain rapport with patients and colleagues

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree is preferred
  • Prior experience in a clinical or surgical environment

Work Environment:

  • Office setting with occasional travel
  • Extended use of computer screens
  • Regular standing, walking, and lifting activities
  • Willingness to work early, late, or extended hours as required
