Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for managing manufacturing tooling and process improvements to enhance productivity and product design.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

In this role, you will design, maintain, and modify tooling and processes, and provide engineering support to the production team. You will also direct and coordinate tooling repair, maintenance, and modification.

  • Design and develop manufacturing tooling and processes to improve productivity and product design.
  • Maintain and modify existing tooling and processes as needed.
  • Provide engineering support to the production team to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments to modify tooling and processes for production and quality improvement.
  • Lead tooling technicians to support production and complete equipment modifications and maintenance.
  • Teach and mentor tooling technicians on equipment functions and troubleshooting.
  • Interface with tool repair suppliers to obtain quotes and monitor maintenance activities.
  • Provide project management for continuous manufacturing process improvement.
  • Provide CAD support for CAPEX projects and supplemental projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and SolidWorks.
  • Experience with statistical software preferred.
  • Ability to work independently to resolve issues and problems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Project management and continuous improvement experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel, including Canada.
  • Knowledge of the extrusion process preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license.
