Radiologic Technologist Lead

The Radiologic Technologist Lead is a leadership role responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the radiologic technologist team. This includes overseeing daily operations, performing radiologic procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the nuclear medicine technologist team, including assigning duties, monitoring workflow, and ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
Perform complex nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and other advanced imaging techniques, demonstrating advanced technical skills and maintaining high-quality imaging.
Oversee the delivery of exceptional patient care by ensuring proper explanation of procedures, addressing patient concerns, and maintaining a comfortable and safe environment during examinations.
Oversee the preparation, administration, and safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and safety protocols.
Implement and oversee quality control programs for imaging equipment, radiopharmaceuticals, and patient images to maintain the highest quality standards and compliance with radiation safety regulations.
Supervise image processing, reconstruction, and analysis to ensure accurate interpretation by radiologists and physicians.
Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of patient information, procedure details, radiopharmaceutical administration, and image data according to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Ensure the proper use of radiation protection measures, including shielding, monitoring, and adherence to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
Oversee routine maintenance on nuclear medicine equipment and coordinate with service representatives for repairs and maintenance as needed.
Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret images, provide input on patient care plans, and assist in clinical decision-making.
Stay updated with advancements in nuclear medicine technology, safety protocols, and clinical best practices through ongoing education and training.
Requirements:
Associates Degree Radiologic Technology Required
5+ Years experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, with demonstrated leadership skills required.
ARRT - Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required
Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - State of Illinois IEMA (IEMA) Required
AHA Heartsaver CPR - American Heart Association (AHA) Required
