Compensation and Training
Instead of incurring costs for training, you will receive a paycheck while you learn. The Army National Guard offers a structured training program where you will develop valuable skills while earning a regular income and qualifying for educational assistance.

Training for a Fire Control Specialist includes 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training followed by seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training, which combines classroom instruction with practical field exercises under simulated combat conditions.
