Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

The HR Generalist, reporting to the HR Manager, will manage a full range of HR functions, including but not limited to:

  • Collaborating with plant managers and supervisors to determine recruitment needs, including posting, sourcing, interviewing, and extending offers to suitable candidates.
  • Facilitating an engaging onboarding process for new hires.
  • Administering employee benefits, assisting associates with enrollment, ensuring accuracy in all processes, and managing invoice reconciliation.
  • Serving as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding their employment.
  • Conducting investigations for formal complaints received.
  • Partnering with the plant manager to proactively prepare for business changes.
  • Planning and executing employee appreciation initiatives.
  • Coordinating HR programs, including disability, workers' compensation, and FMLA claim management, while supporting employees through the claims process.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, including annual and ninety-day evaluations.
  • Managing the HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now) to reflect personnel changes, payroll adjustments, new hires, and terminations accurately.
  • Completing employment verifications, unemployment requests, and any Department of Labor inquiries.
  • Submitting initial injury reports to workers' compensation and managing the claims process to ensure timely resolution.
  • Engaging in various projects that align with HR policies and strategic objectives.
Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Effective team player with excellent time management capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a new environment and contribute immediately.
  • Professional demeanor with a smart, resourceful approach.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, and judgment.
  • Critical ability to maintain confidentiality.
