Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Process Specialist will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational effectiveness by serving as the bridge between diverse manufacturing sectors. This role involves providing recommendations for facility and equipment design, as well as devising solutions that significantly influence productivity, safety, quality, and cost. A comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and production processes is essential, and this position will report directly to the Director of Engineering & Quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate best practices, routines, and innovative strategies to boost production rates and enhance output quality.
  • Guarantee the successful execution of process design methodologies to fulfill both internal and customer requirements, from conception through to start-up and validation.
  • Cultivate effective working relationships with manufacturing and maintenance teams to encourage a seamless exchange of ideas.
  • Design and implement project timelines efficiently and effectively.
  • Justify, budget, and monitor Capital Expenditure initiatives.
  • Evaluate processes, conduct measurements, and analyze complex data.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and operational guidelines.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Occasional travel (0-10%) may be required to evaluate equipment or assist in resolving customer issues.
  • Work in a warehouse setting with an uncontrolled climate throughout the year.
  • Exposure to a dusty and noisy environment, adhering to OSHA regulations.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Expertise:

  • Proficient in interpreting intricate mechanical or electro-technical schematics.
  • Ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well with others.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Skilled in CAD/AutoCAD/Inventor software.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Adept at analyzing, evaluating, and conveying complex information effortlessly.
  • Dynamic personality characterized by integrity, a positive outlook, and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to coordinate both laterally and vertically.
