Job Title: Civil 3D Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Civil 3D Drafter to join our team at Actalent. As a Civil 3D Drafter, you will be responsible for creating pipeline alignment sheets and plats, exhibits, and permit drawings used to construct pipeline projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare design drawings with plan, section, and detail format or plan and profile as designated.
  • Prepare sketches of details not included on existing drawings to accurately reflect as-installed field conditions.
  • Prepare drawings, forms, maps, and lists based on approved details provided by designers and engineers.
  • Prepare ALTA surveys and Land Survey Plats.
Requirements:
  • Candidate MUST have AutoCAD and Civil 3D on their computer.
  • 3+ years of experience drafting and creating alignment sheets from survey data.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and legal descriptions drafting.
  • Oil and gas industry experience OR exp. within commercial development, highways, etc.
  • Reading and understanding maps, plat maps, as-builts, construction drawings, and gas service records for existing condition interpolation.
  • Robust knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with Plat Mapper preferred (or something similar).
  • Applicants will have a basic understanding of survey procedures and data collection and a level of knowledge to work independently.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects using raw field data and computer data.
  • Ability to apply land surveying methodologies, formulas, principles, and techniques to solve surveying-related problems.
  • Ability to review their own work for accuracy and completeness and the initiative to recommend solutions or improvements as appropriate.
  • Customer service and team-oriented.
  • Should demonstrate they are a self-starter, organized, attentive to detail, and able to work under stress to meet deadlines.
Work Environment:

This is a fully remote position. Working hours are around the loose range of 7:30am-5pm CT. Must have your own computer with AutoCAD and Civil3d already downloaded.
