Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Red Hat Linux Administrator to join our team at Cynet Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and administering high availability and contingency solutions, including on-site failover, clustering, and replication to off-site systems.

The ideal candidate will be part of a team that provides 24x7 support and will be responsible for supporting Markets applications deployments and testing for both weekday and weekend code deployments. They will also be responsible for supporting Markets application problem resolution, administering enterprise monitoring of server performance, availability, and security, and providing administration support for middleware such as WebSphere, MQ, and JBOSS on servers that reside on Markets servers.

The successful candidate will interact with InfoSec and Audit teams to ensure that the Markets systems are properly maintained, administered, secured solutions if needed. They will also support Development, QA, Production, and Contingency tests, and participate in Markets project teams, providing technical expertise/guidance to the Markets business teams about available technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or at least 5+ years of Red Hat administration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Working knowledge of IBM WebSphere administration.
  • Working knowledge of IBM MQ administration.
  • Knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c database.
  • Knowledge of JBOSS.
  • Knowledge of Tomcat webserver.
  • Knowledge of Networking and SAN principles.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of Client.
