Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Dietitian to join our team at Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT. As a key member of our Clinical Nutrition Services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our nutrition programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise personnel in the Food and Nutrition department to ensure the delivery of quality health care services.
  • Collaborate with food service staff to provide nutritionally balanced and appetizing meals to patients.
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy, nutrition support, and nutrition education to patients in various settings, including ICU, floor units, and CVL.
  • Perform nutritional assessments, implement care plans, and document patient information in the medical record.
  • Attend multi-disciplinary rounds and care conferences to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and present educational programs for physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff on evidence-based practices in clinical nutrition.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance our nutrition programs.
  • Precept dietetic interns from the Montana Dietetic Internship program and provide guidance on internship rotation projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics or a related field (e.g., sports nutrition, exercise physiology, education) preferred.
  • Montana Nutritionist License within 6 months of hire.
  • National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire.
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialty preferred.
