About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training and Development Coach to join our team at Emerge Community Development. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in achieving their credential training and employment goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with program departments to recruit participants into CDL training programs
  • Complete intake, assessment, and enrollment of participants in credentialed training programs
  • Proctor skills tests and assess participants' skills, interests, and aptitude results
  • Assist participants in creating an Individual Employment Plan and ensure continuity of service for participants, training providers, and employment partners
  • Maintain regular contact with training participants, course instructors, partner providers, and training staff to monitor educational objectives and promote economic mobility
  • Conduct Service Needs Assessments with participants to identify barriers to training program completion and assist them in managing these challenges
  • Connect training participants with the Financial Wellness team to set financial goals and build wealth
  • Support participants in attaining jobs within their training field, including resume writing, job applications, and employer outreach
  • Perform career services and monitor participant accountability to ensure contract compliance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in human services, adult education, or counseling, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in adult education, social work, and/or career coaching, including case management
  • Experience providing coaching support to participants in certificate/credentialed training programs and working with multiple community and education partners is preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Workforce One
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment and establish positive relationships with others
  • Knowledge of Minnesota CDL licensing procedures and requirements
  • Valid MN Driver's License, access to reliable, insured transportation, and ability to meet agency driving requirements is preferred
Benefits and Working Conditions

The Training and Development Coach will have a private office/designated workspace in a typical office environment. The building is fully accessible and smoke-free. Regular local travel is required, with occasional evening and weekend hours. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, sometimes loud.

Compensation

This full-time position offers an estimated salary range of $ $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
