Job Description

CGI Federal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain complex computer systems that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Lead design and development activities to ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and security requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and integrate hardware, software, and networking components.
  • Develop system architecture and system design documentation.
  • Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
  • Apply Standard Characteristics of Labor Category Capability Levels.
  • Manage very complex and/or high-risk programs and supervise assigned technical staff, including subordinate managers.
Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required.
  • Experience with Linux Systems, including Red Hat or CentOS Systems Administration, in an engineering capacity.
  • 5+ years of experience with Cross Domain Solutions, including Forcepoint High Speed Guards, OWL Diodes, Radiant Mercury, or ISSE Guards.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Level II Compliance certification within 60 days of hire date.
  • Experience with VMWare ESXi, vSphere, or vRealize Operations.
  • Experience with creating tailored Linux Operating systems through Kickstart or PXE.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies, including Chef, Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack.
