Project Manager - Commercial Construction

GPAC is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our commercial construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of successful outcomes on diverse commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our estimating team during the preconstruction phase to ensure accurate project estimates.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Mentor junior project managers to develop their skills and knowledge in project management.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to identify and secure future project opportunities.
  • Oversee the procurement of subcontractors and vendors, ensuring timely completion of buyouts, scope of work reviews, contract writing, insurance, and bonding reviews.
  • Guide the research and recommendation of resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, and errors.
  • Manage the team responsible for processing submittals, RFIs, change order proposals, owner billings, time sheet management, subcontractor/vendor billings, monthly reports, and other project-related tasks.
  • Ensure the preparation of timely owner billings by verifying work-in-place quantities and billings from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Verify the production of accurate monthly cost projections, forecasting total estimated costs at completion.
  • Oversight of the creation and monitoring of project schedules and production of progress updates.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (certifications or equivalent experience considered).
  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial/light industrial projects.
  • Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods.
  • Strong financial management skills and ability to independently manage all aspects of a project from start to finish.
