Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our team at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC. As a primary care physician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to veterans presenting for health care services. Your duties will include day-to-day care of veteran patients, including preventive, chronic, and urgent care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to veterans, including routine check-ups, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic health care problems, and prescribing medication and treatments.
  • Work as an integral member of the interdisciplinary health care team in the Comprehensive Women's Clinic, providing gender-specific care to female veterans.
  • Teach health promotion and disease prevention to patients and participate in educational activities to improve and maintain your skills and proficiency in women's health.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and excellent patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice is preferred.
  • English language proficiency and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
