Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Care Team at Tri-Cities Community Health's Richland Primary Care site. As an LPN, you will work under the direct supervision of an authorized healthcare practitioner, administering medications and performing treatments or procedures without the presence of a registered nurse or other authorized healthcare practitioner on the premises.
### Key Responsibilities
* Prepare patients for examinations and treatments by bringing them into the exam room, starting data collection, and entering patient information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
* Assist physicians or healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures
* Communicate between patients and external providers regarding test results, medical records, and/or patient care
* Maintain departmental supplies and inventory
* Ensure all areas of the assigned department are kept clean and well-maintained
* Administer medications, injections, and blood draws as directed by a physician or provider
* Perform and assist with aseptic and sterile procedures
* Perform diagnostic testing within the scope of practice
* Handle and transport biohazardous materials, such as surgical instruments for sterilization
* Maintain medication logs through inventorying sample medications, expiry dates, and patient distribution
* Participate in quality assessment techniques
* Adhere to required safety practices and OSHA guidelines in the workplace
* Take immediate and corrective action if indicated and report problems to appropriate personnel for potential or actual safety hazards
* Maintain up-to-date certification and medical knowledge, including safety and specific job-related hazards
* Perform other duties as assigned
### Work Schedule
* Full-time position
* Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm

### Requirements
* Minimum one (1) year of work experience, preferred
* Current Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse certification, required
* Current and maintained AHA BLS certification, required
* Proficient in English and another language (Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, or other) preferred
