Position: Field Safety Representative
Reports To: Safety Manager
Role Summary: The Field Safety Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to OSHA's 1926 Construction Industry regulations, while also implementing G&G Enterprises' Policies & Procedures across various job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage jobsite signage to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Participate in Preconstruction meetings, delivering Site Safety Expectations, Safe Work Practices, and Basic Safety Rules as outlined in contractual agreements.
- Engage in team meetings, maintaining a consistent on-site presence throughout the project.
- Facilitate and participate in Safety Toolbox talks.
- Conduct daily Field Safety Observations, documenting findings in Site Docs.
- Communicate and ensure adherence to safe work practices.
- Review safety findings with the Superintendent and develop corrective action plans.
- Document all findings in Site Docs and address any safety deficiencies on-site.
- Oversee compliance with Surveillance Camera protocols.
- Conduct monthly vehicle inspections and document results in Site Docs.
- Record and report all near misses, accidents, and incidents in Site Docs.
- Maintain a daily log of site locations visited.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in construction safety and health is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe software.
- Familiarity with safety concepts, practices, and industry trends.
- Certification in one or more of the following: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, confined space, excavation, NCCER Field Safety, NCCER Safety Technology, NCCER CSST, First Aid/AED Certification.
Work Schedule:
40 hours per week, typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday; hours may vary based on project requirements.
