Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain project schedules, review plans and specs, and plan and organize jobsite logistics.
  • Cost Control: Control costs relating to General Conditions, approve subcontractor draws and invoices, and approve field expenses.
  • Project Administration: Produce daily activity reports, monitor and update project schedules, and provide direction and coordination to subcontractors.
  • Relations & Leadership: Foster a cooperative and informative relationship among the construction team, develop team work atmosphere with subcontractors, and ensure working relationship with management team.
  • Safety & Risk Management: Monitor and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, maintain construction site in strict accordance with OSHA guidelines, and conduct weekly on-site safety meetings.
  • Field Operations: Assemble team to assist in oversight of on-site activities, monitor construction progress, and conduct on-site meetings with subcontractors.
  • Associate Development: Provide training, guidance, and career development for subordinates, offer constructive feedback, evaluation, and praise, and act as a role model and mentor.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7+ years construction experience
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Complete and detailed experience with subcontractor and construction sequencing
  • Understanding of ASI's, RFI's, and Material Submittals
  • Technology: Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Procore
  • Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods
  • Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the Beaumont area
  • OSHA 30
  • A valid Driver's License
