Job Title: Deputy Judicial Administrator Director Drug/Specialty Courts

About the Role:

The Louisiana Supreme Court is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead the technical and program development services of the Drug and Specialty Court Division under the Judicial Administrator's Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and recommend annual budgets and funding allocations for specialty courts statewide.
  • Analyze data and services related to specialty courts, providing assistance to judges and court personnel.
  • Make presentations at conferences and prepare reports, statistics, and graphical illustrations to inform stakeholders about the effectiveness of specialty court programs.
  • Supervise all Drug/Specialty Court staff, including performance management, hiring, and coaching for success.

Requirements:

  • A juris doctorate degree or master's degree in social work, criminal justice, court/public/business administration, or a related field, plus five years of related professional experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in any of the above-named academic areas with eight years of progressively responsible professional court experience and familiarity with drug courts.
  • A bachelor's degree in any field with 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in court/public/business administration or a related field, including at least three years in drug court administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on computer skills, including all Microsoft programs and familiarity with grant administration.
  • Supervisory experience and financial/budget experience.
