Job SummaryThe Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at UMass Amherst invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in its Developmental Science program. We seek outstanding applicants with expertise in developmental science, including interdisciplinary fields connected to developmental psychology, whose work complements and/or broadens existing strengths in our program.
Essential Functions- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals
- Secure external funding to support scholarly work
- Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
- Contribute to a diverse and inclusive academic environment
- Collaborate with colleagues in the College of Natural Sciences and across campus to support strategic priorities
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the College of Natural Sciences
- Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology, Developmental Science, or a closely related field
- A strong record of research quality and productivity, including peer-reviewed publications and a strong promise of securing external funding
