Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Baird & Associates.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in structural engineering, particularly in ports, ferry terminals, and coastal structures. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in designing waterfront/marine structures and pile foundations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing and leading the design of waterfront/marine structures, including preparing 100% plans and specifications using CAD staff. They will also provide technical oversight of engineers and drafters, composing arguments for technical decisions, and editing sections or project descriptions for SOQs on occasion.

Baird & Associates is a global leader in coastal engineering, providing innovative solutions for complex projects. We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or structural engineering, with at least 10 years of experience in structural engineering of infrastructure. A PE or SE registration is also required.

You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in software such as SAP2000 or similar FE programs is essential.
