Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to anesthesia services, including the acquisition, preparation, and application of supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on anesthesia machines, maintain accurate records, and examine and set up new machines as needed.
- Supply Management: Maintain anesthesia supplies and equipment, including cleaning, inspecting, and restocking pediatric anesthesia carts and organizing anesthesia drug cells.
- Communication: Collaborate with anesthesiologists and RNs to make timely and informed decisions regarding anesthesia care.
- Quality Assurance: Demonstrate knowledge of anesthesia equipment and departmental policies and procedures, and use medical center resources efficiently to promote fiscal responsibility.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Training: On-the-job training and completion of the Narkomed Biomedical Advanced Seminar
- Skills: Ability to recognize departmental hazards, maintain safety practices, and adhere to infection control protocols
