Production Lead Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Lead to oversee and manage the production of 10 assemblers in our packaging industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and lead morning team meetings to disseminate goals and procedures for meeting production targets.
  • Oversee the assembly of production and packaging materials, ensuring timely delivery of products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and inventory.
  • Use computer systems to report production results to management as needed.
  • Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts, and other equipment as required.
  • Monitor production metrics, including productivity, efficiency, and quality control.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase production efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and quality control.
Requirements:
  • Proven warehouse experience with proven leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures.
  • Basic math skills to accurately track production metrics and inventory.
  • Mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain production equipment.
  • Experience with forklift operation and other heavy machinery.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a relevant field is preferred.
