Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing access control for individuals and vehicles by following established operating procedures, written directives, and regulatory standards to evaluate a variety of unique situations.
You will provide initial response and traffic management for vehicle incidents, which may involve administering first aid, coordinating emergency services, securing the incident site, and identifying witnesses.
You will conduct security operations at mission-critical or vulnerable locations and high-risk targets, including the use of advanced technology.
Your role will involve safeguarding U.S. Navy assets and essential national strategic military resources from various threats, including acts of terrorism, sabotage, espionage, trespassing, theft, fire, and both accidental and intentional damage.
Qualifications
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must include:
1) Verifying identification for access to restricted zones;
2) Managing pedestrian and vehicle traffic to ensure smooth operations;
3) Granting or denying access to restricted areas;
4) Conducting inspections of private and commercial vehicles and packages in accordance with established protocols.
GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must include:
1) Screening personal and commercial vehicles requesting access;
2) Controlling access by verifying identification and credentials;
3) Patrolling facilities for suspicious activities;
4) Maintaining logs and records of security incidents.
GS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least 6 months of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level in the Federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must include:
1) Screening vehicles for access;
2) Controlling personnel access through identification verification;
3) Patrolling for unusual activities;
4) Keeping detailed logs of security events.
Additionally, your resume must demonstrate at least 6 months of general experience in areas such as administrative, technical, clerical, military, or other work that involved following written procedures and interacting with coworkers, supervisors, or the public to provide services or obtain information.

Education
Successfully completed coursework at an accredited college or university in any subject is fully qualifying in the amount and level specified below:

Additional Information
This position is subject to the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Multiple vacancies may be filled. A tentative job offer may be rescinded if the selected candidate fails to meet pre-employment requirements, including failure to attend scheduled appointments.
