Structural Lab Support Specialist

Job Summary:

The Structural Lab Support Technician will work with a team of technicians and engineers to test heavy-duty truck components and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and experience in fluid power systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup, maintenance, and tear down of sophisticated servo hydraulic test fixturing and equipment in the structural testing lab.
  • Perform duties safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain the highest level of documentation, work area cleanliness, and organization.
  • Diagnose system faults, perform routine maintenance checks, replace worn or damaged parts, and install new hydraulic components.
  • Welding, metal fabrication, and assembly.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective writing and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience working with and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
  • 1-3 years of experience with fluid power systems.
  • Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
