Position Overview:
As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse will deliver expert clinical guidance in wound and ostomy care, addressing the unique needs of patients across various age groups, cultural backgrounds, and spiritual beliefs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance the knowledge and skills of fellow staff members through effective teaching and facilitation in wound and ostomy care.
- Stay updated with the latest research and techniques, integrating evidence-based practices into daily operations.
- Regularly assess and implement changes in clinical practices based on scientific evidence to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Excel.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-direction.
- Commitment to customer service excellence as outlined in the organizational policy.

- Flexibility and dedication to teamwork.
- Initiative and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Respect for diversity and the ability to provide inclusive care.
- Strong customer service orientation.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Must hold a current Michigan Registered Nurse license.
- Completion of an Enterostomal Therapy program certification within six months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
