Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner

UPMC Community Medicine Incorporated is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to support Comprehensive Care Associates. This role works out of the Southwestern Veterans Center Nursing Home, providing care and support to residents in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and a passion for working in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and their families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the community and to your healthcare profession.
Requirements:
  • The successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program is required.
  • BSN, MSN is preferred.
  • Professional nursing experience and/or nurse practitioner experience is preferred.
  • Current state RN license and CRNP certification are required.
  • National certification, eligible for licensure by Pennsylvania board of nursing, eligible for certification as a CRNP by Pennsylvania state board of nursing.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Act 34 Clearance required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
