SAU 24 is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Main Office Secretary/Registrar at Henniker Community School. The position is a full-time, hourly, school-year position with associated benefits.

Job Responsibilities
  • Main Office Secretary:
    • Serve as the initial point of contact for parents, community members, and the public.
    • Manage incoming calls and packages, directing them to the appropriate destination or taking detailed messages and forwarding them accordingly.
    • Supervise daily attendance records and processes.
    • Prepare and update State reports as requested.
    • Develop and distribute daily bulletins, faculty memos, and school newsletters.
    • Route all mail.
    • Maintain student information data.
    • Prepare correspondence from administrators upon request.
    • Coordinate student assessment materials as needed.
    • Prepare and distribute student placement data and student registration as requested.
    • Oversee field trip logistics.
    • Coordinate report card processing.
    • Implement emergency procedures outlined in the school's Emergency Management Plan.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding students and employees.
    • Provide comprehensive support to the Assistant Principal.
  • School Registrar:
    • Maintain the student management system.
    • Accurately record enrollment-related information.
    • Collaborate with the Principal and district SIS coordinator on scheduling, program enrollments, and other related tasks.
    • Create schedules and manage attendance, grades, student performance data, and honor roll for all students.
    • Provide class lists to staff.
    • Track historical and current student data, including student pictures.
    • Develop the master calendar for scheduling purposes.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date office files.
    • Respond to various emails and process receipts for payment.
    • Address emergencies in accordance with the school's Emergency Management Plan when necessary.
    • Perform other duties/tasks consistent with the goals of this position as determined by the building administrators.
Reports To:

The Main Office Secretary/Registrar will report directly to the School Principal.

Requirements
  • A strong foundation in computer skills, verbal communication, and written expression.
  • Experience working in an office environment and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Prior experience with Google Workspace, PowerSchool, School Messenger, and Frontline application suite is preferred.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $45,000-$55,000 based on industry standards and location considerations. Benefits include health, dental insurance, and NH Retirement plans.
