About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CRNA to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a CRNA, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia to patients during surgical, obstetrical, and other pain-producing clinical procedures under the supervision of a physician.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, fellows, attendings, and staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient procedures and incidents accurately and thoroughly.
  • Assess patients before, during, and after administering anesthesia to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Participate in department quality assurance initiatives and activities of professional development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from a school of nurse anesthesia accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
  • 1 year experience as a CRNA.
  • License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice.
  • Certification through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
Working Conditions

The incumbent works in a patient care area, works in an area where patients enter, works directly with patients, and/or works with specimens that could contain diseases. There may be an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases and hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment.
