Position Overview:
The Emergency Management Claims Coordinator is an essential role within our organization, serving as both an analyst and case manager to assist survivors through effective case management.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify, analyze, and resolve challenges in claims processing, offering recommendations to enhance processing efficiency.
2. Oversee and evaluate third-party claims processing procedures, compiling and analyzing data to suggest corrective actions.
3. Collaborate with subject matter experts and technical staff to gather necessary information for developing actionable courses of action (COAs).
4. Facilitate the removal of barriers in claims processing through effective management and negotiation with contract claims processors.


Qualifications:
1. High school diploma is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of customer service experience.
3. 3-5 years of experience as a program analyst or claims processor in disaster recovery.
4. 3+ years of experience in insurance and claims processing.
5. Proven emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities.
6. Experience in developing COAs and recommending corrective actions.
7. Proficiency in Excel and other Office 365 applications.


Work Environment:
This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including potential after-hours and weekend work. The role may involve long hours at a computer or on-site with clients, necessitating the ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
