Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Design Lead

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead our Water/Wastewater Design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing projects related to water and wastewater infrastructure, including conveyance, treatment, and storage designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design and delivery of water and wastewater projects in a profitable manner
  • Oversee the technical aspects of various projects, including project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Supervise the work of engineers and technical support personnel assigned to the project
  • Develop project work plans and budget projections, and effectively deploy resources
  • Review and interpret business metrics, including utilization, backlog, work in process, and account receivables
  • Prepare, maintain, and coordinate schedules of multiple concurrent projects
  • Develop and track milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Complete monthly project accounting and invoicing
  • Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures
  • Participate in contract bidding, provide limited observation during construction, review submittals, and RFIs
  • Resolve design conflicts and field construction issues
  • Represent clients and the firm in meetings with governmental agencies
  • Write proposals and participate in or lead interviews
  • Grow, mentor, and train staff
  • Build relationships internally and externally with clients and strategic partners
  • Lead business development activities
  • Ensure division, regional, and company values, policies, and practices are consistently followed within the survey service
  • Lead by example, displaying solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism

Requirements:

  • Outgoing, friendly, approachable
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage staff and direct resources effectively
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects in a profitable manner
  • Understanding of alternative delivery methods
  • Extensive knowledge of conveyance, treatment, and storage designs
