EHS Specialist

We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team at Watts Regulator Company. As a key member of our distribution network, you will provide administrative and technical support to regional distribution leadership in the coordination of environmental, health, and safety programs.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations relative to workplace health and safety, interfacing with government officials as needed.
- Identify and fill gaps in safety and health training topics, including New Hire Orientation, Radiation Safety, Powered Industrial Trucks, Fall Protection, and Hazard Communication.
- Conduct incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collect and analyze safety and health data, including first aid reports, safety concerns, near misses, and accidents.
- Complete and submit governmental reports, such as the OSHA Log and Tier II.
- Assist onsite Safety Committees across the distribution network.
- Support emergency preparedness programs, including fire drills, tornado drills, and active shooter training.
- Maintain training records and create monthly reports and safety presentations.
- Support transitional return-to-work programs.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in an industrial health or safety discipline, industrial engineering, or other related physical or health science.
- Pursuing ASP or CSP certification or other professional certification desirable.
- 2+ years of experience with health and safety programs in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution center setting.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, including EPCRA and Stormwater.
- Knowledge of proper protocol for exposure/industrial hygiene monitoring.
- Experience with environmental reporting.
- Experience in accident investigation, analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Ability to manage tasks and costs for EHS projects.
