Job Summary

Oceans Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a PRN capacity. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading the nursing team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume Primary Leadership Accountability: Lead the nursing team and assume primary responsibility for milieu management and directing patient care activities.
  • Develop Individualized Plans of Care: Assess patients using the nursing process and develop individualized plans of care to promote, maintain, and restore physical and mental health.
  • Implement Interventions and Evaluate Outcomes: Implement interventions and evaluate outcomes consistent with policy and appropriate to the current client's condition.
  • Provide Safe Medication Delivery: Interpret age/disability specific information and provide for the safe delivery of medication in accordance with policies and procedures, physicians orders and/or current practice.
  • Document Patient Progress: Document patient symptoms, responses, and progress in a thorough and accurate manner.
  • Assume Responsibility for Professional Development: Assume responsibility for professional development, continuing education, and maintaining licensure.
Requirements
  • Current RN License: Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in Psychiatric Nursing: Experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to Lead and Manage: Ability to lead and manage the nursing team in a fast-paced environment.
