Job Summary:The Registered Nurse PRN Days will provide high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role will require the ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet the needs of our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, individualized care.
- Provide education to patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to facility policies and procedures.
- Document patient care and progress in a thorough, accurate, and timely manner, ensuring that records are complete and up-to-date.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
- Float among various clinical services, providing support and assistance as needed, and performing other duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
- One year of inpatient hospital experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of stress and potential for patient escalation.
