Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex medical laboratory analyses for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, ensuring accuracy and accountability for test results.
- Evaluate and anticipate the need for innovative methods, instruments, and technologies, considering customer requirements, cost-effectiveness, and potential revenue, while keeping management informed of findings.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and serve as a resource for internal and external customers.
- Oversee assigned projects, including planning, resource coordination, timeline management, and progress reporting to management.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures, including running controls, data evaluation, documentation, and corrective actions as necessary, while communicating relevant quality control information to supervisors.
- Perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills, knowing when to seek guidance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a Clinical Laboratory environment.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Required certifications include MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW). Certification may be waived for candidates with over 10 years of laboratory experience.
