Job Summary

The Environmental Health Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures
  • Lead and oversee the EHS team, providing guidance and support
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the manufacturing facility
  • Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Stay abreast of changes in EHS regulations and industry trends
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into planning and design
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment
  • Industrial Hygiene experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Certification in safety is a plus
