Job Title: Environmental Remediation Specialist

Job Summary:

The Environmental Remediation Specialist will be responsible for executing field work on remediation and industrial maintenance projects. This role requires strict compliance with corporate policies, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute field work on remediation and industrial maintenance projects under direct or indirect supervision.
  • Complete job-specific paperwork, including Timesheets, Daily Work Reports, Driver's Logs, and Daily Tailgate Safety Meeting Forms.
  • Understand and work within project scope to maintain compliance with contract documents, project schedules, and corporate policies.
  • Work safely during all phases of performing job duties.
  • Ability to perform work in areas of varying dimensions, involving squatting and crawling for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow directions, read and understand English, and comprehend common danger placards and hazardous warning literature.
  • Safely drive and perform safety checks on vehicles for which licensed.
  • Project work may require out-of-town travel for two weeks or more.
  • Must understand and comply with company and client safety standards.
  • Work outside year-round in all types of weather.
  • May work in environments with extreme conditions, such as heat, cold, heights, hazardous chemicals, loud noises, and dangerous equipment.
  • May be exposed to varying levels of physical activities and physical extremes, including long periods of standing, walking, crouching, and heavy lifting.
  • Must be clean-shaven at all times to allow immediate donning and sealing of respirator.

Qualifications:

  • Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing, and reasoning skills).
  • Experience in emergency response, manual labor, general construction, and/or industrial cleaning is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • TWIC preferred.
  • OSHA 40-HR HAZWOPER & Confined Space Entry certifications are desired but not required.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance screening process, including employment verifications, criminal search, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search.
