About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Medford, Massachusetts. As a Registered Nurse in our Mental Health department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Accurately and timely document AFS, progress notes, and observation sheets.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Participate in patient rounds or teams and complete patient care assignments.
  • Identify patient behaviors that contribute to the development of a crisis and utilize non-verbal and verbal techniques to de-escalate crisis situations.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse and follow Standards of Care and protocols for assigned patients.
  • Remain awake and alert at all times while on the job and perform Point of Care testing (POC).
  • Complete electronic medical records training and demonstrate 80% accuracy on competency test within 30 days of hire.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Prefer two years of college plus one year of clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
  • Licensure: N/A
  • Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work in collaboration with others.
