We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Specialist to join our team at NOVA Parks. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our park equipment, facilities, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair park equipment, including tractors, mowers, chain saws, and other machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil, oil filters, and replacing worn blades on mowers.
- Operate small engine equipment, such as backpack blowers and line trimmers.
- Conduct facility maintenance, including repairing picnic tables, boat motors, and fences.
- Assist with winterization of equipment and perform other tasks as needed.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Minimum of three years experience in park maintenance work.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the public and staff members.
- Considerable knowledge of safe operation of equipment and ability to train others in equipment operation.
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to make repairs on equipment.
- Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks.
- Ability to supervise other maintenance workers.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor in a variety of weather conditions.
- Certification or ability to obtain certification for CPR and first aid.
- Possession of or ability to obtain valid driver's license, must maintain safe driving record.
This is a part-time position, up to 40 hours per week, with health benefits offered. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions and may be required to lift, stoop, bend, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
