About This Opportunity

The Category Support Supervisor is a vital role that serves as a liaison between the Category Management and Category Support teams. In this position, you will assess and consolidate Merchandising support needs, communicating these requirements to the assigned Category Support Coordinator for execution.

You will monitor the tactical execution of tasks and escalate any delays or concerns as necessary. As a leader, you will directly supervise Category Support Coordinators, ensuring they have the necessary guidance and support to excel in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison between assigned Category Management team and Category Support Coordinators.
  • Provide crucial information to Category Management on strategic direction, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with assigned PDs, CMs, and ZMs.
  • Effectively communicate with executive management.
  • Prioritize and allocate work activities among team members in a balanced and equitable manner.

You will be responsible for reviewing the work of team members to validate accuracy and completeness, monitoring compliance with agreed-upon service levels. Additionally, you will aid the team in researching and resolving complex issues, communicating/escalating issues to the appropriate Manager as needed.

This role requires facilitation of training/on-boarding of employees, including establishing general objectives, outlining activities to be performed, and identifying obstacles/issues that stand in the way. You will also be responsible for team performance management, analyzing product information, and reporting on activities completed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-5 years of Retail Product experience.
  • Strong understanding of SEI internal processes and systems to properly supervise, train, and coach the assigned Category Support team.
  • Able to obtain, evaluate, and interpret information to identify root cause and recommend action for resolution.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable communicating with Management.
  • Strong leadership skills in a retail/inventory environment (preferred).

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
