Under the guidance of the General Manager, oversees and coordinates daily operational activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adhere to all Gaming Commission Regulations, as well as Federal and State laws and regulations, alongside Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.

Provide consistent, courteous, and professional service to guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow staff members in all interactions.

Manage the daily operations of front-line staff, assess performance, coordinate staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage, instruct employees on policies and procedures, and address disciplinary issues as necessary.

Engage with team members regarding their daily tasks, monitoring their progress to ensure timely completion and optimal productivity.

Supervise all operations within the buffet area.
Establish and enforce standards of quality and performance.

Assess the quantities of necessary products (purchases or requisitions) and verify inventory in accordance with established company guidelines; ensure product quality and address service complaints.

Generate various operational reports; maintain records related to purchases, sales, labor, and requisitions.

Recruit, select, train, mentor, counsel, recognize, and retain direct reports who consistently demonstrate excellence in business operations and guest service.

Stay informed about current trends and practices relevant to the area of responsibility and communicate essential information to management, peers, direct reports, and employees as appropriate.

Foster positive public and employee relations at all times.
Ensure a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
Protect the confidentiality of all employee, departmental, and company records.

Commit to responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly informing appropriate management of any concerns or observations.

Ensure prompt and discreet notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline regarding any observations of illegal activities or internal ethics violations.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this role, an individual must effectively perform the outlined duties and responsibilities. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Ability to deliver a service level that creates an atmosphere encouraging guests to return, providing each guest with a positive and memorable experience.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :
Minimum of 3 years of Food & Beverage management experience in a comparable environment is required.
Knowledge and experience in monitoring food/beverage costs, labor costs, and inventory control. Familiarity with ordering and inventory procedures is necessary.
ServSafe Certification is preferred.
Proficient in software applications such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
